Festival Day 2

Well Attended Evening Activites

We went to another local square last night for our evening festivities. The families come out in the cool of the evening and spend time with friends at local gathering points. We brought the giant basketball and goal, giant soccer ball and goals, face painting, and jump rope. We had more kids participating than Mick and Ali had ever had before. They were very excited.

Police Visit

The local police came and said that we had been reported of taking pictures of the local children. Mick and Ali had battled a rumor before that we were here to put photos of the kids on the internet for bad purposes. So the police were checking us out to make sure we were not taking photos of the individual children for something bad.

Photos of Trip

You may have noticed a new feature on the blog - the photo slide show in the upper right corner. It is cycling through the photo album we have loaded on Picasa. You can see the whole album here. We will be adding photos throughout the week of different activities by different team members. Check it often.

Todd,
Now you stay out of trouble with the law! We will pray up against any further persecution and will ask God to show the city Christ's love through your service to the children. We are so thankful that the children of Capljina are coming to the festival in record numbers and having such a great time!

A little news for you guys from Atlanta--The Braves have traded Teixeira to the Angels for their young, developing first baseman and a minor league pitcher, 2 days before the trade deadline...

I still can't get over that whole "pictures of kids on the Internet" thing. I mean, seriously. They're taking pictures in public, how much more conspicuous could you be?
